" Each of my designs has a story behind it, a character with it’s own personality.  People feel transformed when wearing my work, taking on the persona of the piece they are wearing.  It's like being given a golden ticket to behave in a fantastical way, to relinquish control and connect to a magical part deep inside themselves”

Hailing from the wilds of Cornwall, my heritage is steeped in mysticism and folklore.  This together with a deep love and fascination with the natural world are key elements that lie at the heart of my creations.  I graduated from London College of Fashion with a First Class Honours Degree in Costume, Makeup and Technical Effects for the Performing Arts in 2005.  After graduating I spent 7 years at RSL Steeper as a High Definition Silicone Technician - creating ultra-realistic limbs for medical purposes.

Each piece I make is hand crafted from the highest quality materials with much of the detail sculpted directly from Silicone.  This form of direct Silicone sculpture is a rare technique, developed and crafted by high end prosthetic limb makers only, which is part of what makes an Ellsewhere piece so unique.  I approach each piece through the eyes of a sculptor with a focus on the forms, textures and motions present in the natural world, like the perfect rippled crevices of the underside of a mushroom or the ethereal movements of jellyfish in water.

My pieces range from a magpie inspired headpiece for actress Kate Winslet to collect her CBE from HRH The Queen, a hat for a Unicorn for Aynhoe park, 14 headpieces for The Animal Ball at Clarence House to 70 bespoke masks for an Olympic ball held at the Royal Academy of Arts.  I have been featured in international press including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Huffington Post, The Telegraph, Grazia and i-D Magazine and had my work exhibited at Sotheby's Auction House, Selfridges, Leica Studios; Mayfair and Walton Street Chelsea.  Some of my best woodland themed pieces displayed at Matthew Williamson’s flagship store in Mayfair in  September.

I am passionate about my craft and about bringing an elegant sense of fun and play into the world.  Although I currently work from my studio in London, in my heart, I am still the little girl sat at the bottom of my garden in Cornwall - watching the bees fly around me whilst making rose petals in to perfume.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my work, I hope you enjoyed it and please feel free to contact me if you are looking for an extra bit of magic in your life.

Love Ellsewhere x
